SPECIAL NEEDS EDUCATORS

Success in the classroom is measured by many factors.  Most of them come through outside and well-intended policies and procedures.  The alphabet soup of FAPE, IDEA, IEPs, and so forth are great ideas and concepts.  The question is, "What's going to get me through today and the thousands of tomorrows ahead of me?  Where can I get the skills that I know I need but no one ever really discussed them when I was in the College of Education?  How do I manage the days when it seems like I am juggling running chain saws, burning torches, and a couple of axes? Then are the days that you and your classroom aide are in a tag team match against "Andre the Giant" and Hulk Hogan.  Topics Covered
